At this year’s Swedental, currently taking place in Stockholm, Dutch e-commerce supplier Basiq Dental marks its entry into Sweden via a strategic partnership with DentFriends, a membership organisation for independent private dental clinics, and the integration of Cliniclands’ customer base. Cliniclands is a Swedish dental dealer whose customers are moving to Basiq Dental under a November 2025 agreement. In this interview, Basiq Dental owner Bart van Eijndhoven talks about what this means for Swedish practices and how the Nordic rollout will unfold.
Bart van Eijndhoven is the owner of Basiq Dental. The company has served European dental clinics for over 20 years and offers a catalogue of more than 15,000 products.
Mr van Eijndhoven, for readers new to Basiq Dental, how would you introduce the company?
Basiq Dental is a leading European e-commerce company serving dental professionals. Our mission is to connect manufacturers and clinics through efficient logistics at competitive prices. Having one of the largest inventories in Europe and a fully automated warehouse, we typically ship 99% of orders the same day. Customers value our free shipping, continuously optimised pricing, reliable logistics, extensive stock availability and exceptional customer experience, supported by intuitive online platforms and a dedicated team.
What prompted Basiq Dental’s entry into Sweden, and how will the DentFriends partnership help you reach independent clinics effectively?
Our entry into Sweden is anchored in our partnership with DentFriends—it will be an important foundation for our future success. Together, we combine our strengths: Basiq Dental as an innovative and efficient distributor, and DentFriends as the most trusted partner for independent dental clinics.
DentFriends provides its members with access to exclusive benefits that enhance profitability, reduce administrative burdens and free up valuable time for patient care. Through our collaboration, clinics will now gain access to even greater product choice, pricing advantages and technology-driven efficiency.
How will the transition for Cliniclands customers work in practice?
Transitions can be challenging, so we’re committed to making this as smooth as possible for former Cliniclands customers. One key advantage is that we’ve hired several of its former employees, allowing clinics to maintain familiar points of contact. Most products will remain available, but customers will notice improvements in other areas: better pricing, faster logistics and access to our innovative inventory management solutions. The transition is already underway as Cliniclands winds down over the coming weeks. While some adjustments may take time, we’re confident that once clinics experience Basiq Dental, they’ll appreciate the added value and long-term benefits.
Visitors to Swedental can find Basiq Dental at Booth A04:20. More information about the company is available here.
How will you rollout Basiq Flow in Sweden, and what efficiency should a typical clinic expect? Basiq Flow is a true game-changer—a fully automated inventory system that employs radio-frequency identification and is designed to remove manual counting and individual scanning. Products do not require registering on receipt or use. Routine weekly checks take only a few minutes and help prevent stock outs, cutting time spent on ordering and stocktaking so that teams can focus on patient care.
What local set-up are you putting in place, and how are you addressing sustainability in the Swedish market?
Our Swedish operations are anchored by a team in Trelleborg that handles all daily enquiries and supports clinics. The team works closely with our logistics hub in the Netherlands, from where we deliver to customers across Europe within a short time frame. To guarantee speed, all orders placed before 6 p.m. are shipped the same day—always free of charge. Basiq Flow also supports sustainability by bundling deliveries and aligning shipping frequency with actual usage, reducing trips and associated emissions.
