GOTHENBURG, Sweden: Osstell, the global leader in dental implant stability measurement and osseointegration progress monitoring, will be holding its 16th ISQ symposium on 25 September. The free event will mark 25 years of innovation at the company and will showcase the impact of Osstell technology in the field of implant stability through patient case examples and clinical insights from around the globe.

The symposium will provide participants with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the role of Osstell technology in determining the appropriate surgical and loading protocols, optimising healing time prior to implant restoration and fostering collaboration among the entire dental team to achieve predictable and successful treatment outcomes. Attendees will gain valuable insights into enhancing patient consultations by accurately measuring and documenting implant stability, supported by 25 years of clinical and scientific data.

During the symposium, attendees will also have the opportunity to learn how to navigate real-world treatment challenges with a focus on patient-centred care and evidence-based decision-making. They will also discover how Osstell’s cloud-based platform can be effectively integrated with its measurement technology to refine and personalise treatment protocols, addressing unique patient needs and eliminating uncertainty in clinical practice.

Attendees will learn from four experts from Australia, the US, Portugal and Sweden as they reflect on significant milestones in implant dentistry and explore emerging developments that will shape the future of implant treatment. Among them will be Dr Marcus Dagnelid, a board-certified prosthodontist from Sweden, who will be the event’s moderator, leading a panel discussion and providing attendees with the opportunity to engage with the speakers and have their questions answered.

He told Dental Tribune International: “As a moderator for the upcoming Osstell ISQ Online Symposium 2024, I am very proud to be part of a very special event! We have gathered an amazing line-up of international speakers and will make sure to celebrate 25 years of innovation with Osstell in the best possible way. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to meet up with great colleagues online, listen to interesting lectures and a panel discussion, and meet the founder and inventor of Osstell.”

One of the keynote speakers, Dr William Christopher Martin, a clinical professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville, added: “I am honoured to be invited back to speak at the Osstell ISQ Online Symposium 2024 alongside Prof. Neil Meredith and Dr David Alfaiate, and I am sure the topics discussed at the event will provide great guidance on clinical situations we face in daily practice. Having spoken at the symposium in 2021, I am excited to have the opportunity to revisit some of the topics discussed then and to provide updates on how the ISQ technology has impacted on our implant programme over the years.”

“The attendees can expect to receive high-quality informative content on ISQ technology and how it can benefit them when working with dental implants,” he concluded.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. CEST on 25 September, and each of the four sessions will run for approximately 1 hour. For dental professionals who are unable to attend, the symposium sessions will be available to watch on demand.
